Privacy policy
What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted.
The short version
We collect what you type into our forms, plus the network address the submission came from. We use it to reply to you and to stop automated abuse. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.
This site runs no analytics, no advertising tags, and no third-party tracking scripts. If that changes, this page changes in the same release.
What we collect
When you submit the project intake form at /start, we store the name, email address, and optionally the company, phone number, and country you provide; the services and industry you selected; your indicated budget and timeline; and the description of your problem.
When you send a message through /contact, we store your name, email address, optional subject, and message.
In both cases we also store the network address the request came from, and the date and time.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry or message. This is the only reason we ask for contact details.
- To prepare a written response, proposal, or quotation where you have asked for one.
- To rate limit submissions and identify automated abuse. This is the only use of the network address.
- To keep a record of what was agreed, where an enquiry becomes a project.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
- We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
- We do not add you to a marketing list because you contacted us.
- We do not run third-party analytics or tracking on this website.
- We do not put the content of your enquiry into a public AI model as training data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and messages that do not become projects are kept for up to twenty-four months, so we can recognise a returning conversation, and are then deleted.
Where an enquiry becomes a project, the related records are kept for as long as we have a business relationship and for seven years afterwards, which is the period we expect to need them for tax and contractual purposes.
Network addresses attached to a submission are deleted with the record they belong to.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider processes the data by virtue of running the servers this site sits on. Where we use an email provider to reply to you, that provider processes the message in transit.
We do not share enquiry contents with any other third party without asking you first.
AI processing
This website does not send anything you submit to a language model.
Systems we build for clients may use AI providers, and where that is the case it is described in that project’s own documentation and contract, not governed by this page.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@cnex.ai and we will action it.
If you are in a jurisdiction that grants specific data protection rights — for example the UK or the EU — those rights apply and we will honour them regardless of where the data is stored.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We do not make material changes retrospectively without saying so.
